Information we collect
ReelsDraft collects account details (email address and username), creator profile preferences, generated scripts, planner entries, analytics snapshots, and security/audit records. We do not request special-category personal data; do not include it in AI prompts or workspace content.
How we use information
We process account and workspace data to perform our contract with you, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as preventing abuse. We record that you received this notice when an account is created; acknowledging a privacy notice is not consent to optional processing. We do not use your workspace content for direct marketing without separate consent.
Lawful basis for processing
Our legal bases are: contract (providing the service), legitimate interest (security, abuse prevention), and legal obligation (retention, audit). Where required, we rely on explicit consent for optional processing such as direct marketing.
AI-generated content
Prompts and creator inputs are sent to the AI provider selected for the service (currently OpenAI or Google) solely to generate requested outputs. Avoid submitting personal or confidential information that is unnecessary for generation. Provider processing, retention, and international transfers are governed by the applicable data-processing agreement and transfer safeguards.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal information. We use processors for frontend and API hosting, profile storage (Supabase), authentication (Google), AI generation (OpenAI or Google), and email delivery. Social-media providers receive data only when you choose to load their embedded media. International transfers use the safeguard applicable to each provider, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use authenticated API access, encryption in transit, access controls, rate limiting, audit logging, and production HTTPS settings. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected incidents through the privacy contact channel.
Your choices
You can correct profile data, download a portable JSON export, and permanently delete your account from Settings. You may also request access, restriction, objection, or rectification through the privacy contact channel. We respond within applicable legal time limits and may verify identity before acting.
Retention
Account-linked workspace data is retained while your account is active. Deleting an account removes Django records and the associated Supabase profile. Completed AI jobs and audit records are automatically removed according to the retention period stated below. Backups and legally required records may persist for a limited, documented restoration or compliance period.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage for authentication state, security, consent evidence, and preferences. Optional social-media players remain disabled until you opt in and can be disabled again through Privacy choices. The Cookie and Storage Policy provides the current inventory.
Children
The service is not directed at children. Do not create an account or submit personal data if you are below the minimum age required to consent to data processing where you live.

Controller and contact

ReelsDraft is the controller for ReelsDraft account, workspace, and demo data. Privacy and data-rights requests can be sent to support@reelsdraft.com.

Required information, retention, and automated decisions

Email, username, password or Google identity, and acceptance of the Terms are required to create an account. Niche, platform, creator goal, avatar, and optional workspace content improve personalization but are not legally required. Without required account data, ReelsDraft cannot create or secure an account.

Completed or failed AI jobs and audit records are retained for up to 365 days by default. Active workspace data is retained while the account remains open, subject to legal, security, and documented backup-retention requirements.

ReelsDraft uses automated systems to generate scripts and recommendations requested by you. It does not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about users.

Rights, consent withdrawal, and complaints

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection supervisory authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
